HOW TO REGISTER:   Please go to the Swiss Photo Club webpage.

Once you know how to operate your camera, the doors to the world of photography opens up for you. After finishing the beginners course, my recommendation is to follow up with the Lightroom & Intermediate courses, while attending practice workshops regularly to put your learnings to good use (SPC members join practice workshops for free). You can also join the SPC Facebook page where you will receive monthly challenges/themes to inspire you to keep practicing and growing.

INTERMEDIATE FULL DAY INTENSIVE COURSE

This course is a great one day workshop for those who already have some knowledge of digital photography and want a full boost of overall improvement to their photography knowledge. During this course you will start by 4 hours of theory followed by 3 hours of practice.

We will explore more advanced camera functions, how to use natural light, reflectors and flash, elements of good composition and various creative techniques. Then we will have a three hours of full practice session with hands on exercises on what you have learned.

INTERMEDIATE WEEKLY EVENING COURSE

This is our new and highly recommended photography class if you already know basic photography concepts (aperture, shutter speed, ISO, depth of field) and functions of your camera (when to use different shooting modes, different focus modes, etc) and you want to improve in all fields.

*** If you are not yet fully comfortable with these concepts, we recommend our beginners weekday class instead. ***

This class consists of 2 hour weekly classes over 5 weeks. Coming out of this course, you will be able to start recognizing good light, know how to capture any moment, use available light or use flash and know what to do during editing. In other words, you will learn all you need to know to take great photos.

If you expect to miss one of the sessions due to your schedule, no problem. You can always join the same session from the following month’s course.

The homeworks are specially designed to make you use what you have already learned and encounter problems that we will cover in the next session. This way, you will both internalize what we already covered and come to the session with correct questions and open mind.

Course Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of exposure triangle, depth of field, camera functions.
  • Your camera: DSLR or mirrorless or superzoom
  • No camera? No problem. We offer free camera hire during the course (just tell us in advance).
  • Positive attitude and passion for visual arts ?
